The Living Green Ride...

I bet.. we don't see that sign in Jordan... but let's carry on...

So the first thing we're gonna learn in living green. Is to walk, run, use a bicycle, or take the public transportation system (i know it suxx, especially for a girl). Why? Let's talk basic science, the current cars produce Carbon dioxide, one of the greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gases, are gases that contribute to global warming (that is the average of temeperature on earth increasing). Believe it or not, if %70 of the people using cars right now, took Public Transportation as an alternative, a drastic change will be seen. Why? Because, each person is operating a car to travel on his own, however a bus will transport 30 people in a relatively equal energy.

Now, walking to your destination is an even better solution. Why? Ever noticed how the levels of obesity throughout the world increased, maybe because human inventions are making sure we get lazier by time. I bet by the year 2020, we'll be put in fridges and served in birthdays, by aliens that is.

The second step in living green is... Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.

If you think that using Thinking that using bicycles in jordan would success be sure it's a myth
&
If you think that everyone can rely on public transportation in jordan it's another myth

There is difference between dream, ambition, realistic.
being realistic I can categorized under dreams, but hey cheer up, we can dream.

We're not asking for everyone to rely on public transportation.

Myths come true most of the times, even though we do not realize it.

We are opening Starbucks, and importing all sorts of goods from abroad... why can't be import a little bit of awareness.

Unless, we do something... a dream is always a dream Jad.

Cars? Aeroplanes? Space Travel? Those were valid myths at their time, and their inventors were deemed crazy when they said it can be done.

We need to believe in order to reach our goals Jad. :)

myth is the thing that people think it's right while it's not.

so it would be like, Western think that all Arab and/or Muslims men have for wives, or we think that every western women want to have a sex.

I agree with you, and I share you the dream of living in a clean city, but it's a dream.
and sure we need to believe in our goals in order to reach it, one of my favorite quotes "believe in your faith and faith in your believe"
but we have to have realistic goal, and realistic means we can have a plan to read it, and now I cant see how we can plan to have such clean environment while we cannot manage to quit smoking (self example), or we cannot manage not to smoke in public areas.

anyway, I really enjoy reading your blog, your writing attitude shocked me I LOVE IT.
Keep writing & i'll keep reading.

Lets say that this dream came true...

Can you imagine yourself walking or taking a bycycle ride from downtown Amman to the 3rd circle for example?!

Or climbing up jebal al-qal3a from il sa7a il hashimeh?!

Using such methods are ablicable in cities and places other than Amman which is 6al3at.ha aktar min nazlat.ha! :D
